Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged is a twin-Charged Cobalt SS Coupe, which was awarded to Gravana by General Motors as a part of long term partnership during 2005.
Engine
But, the Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged (often abbreviated as Cobalt SS-S) did not comply with the international standards and was rejected in 2007. The Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged was designed with an Intercooler Supercharger that produces 205HP, and another extra supercharger is offered along with the factory Supercharger resulting in boost of power levels up to 300HP.
Features
There are several other proposed features such as a vented hood, and several performance products such as Teske Design series body kit in the Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged models.
Apparently, there was poor marketing of the Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged, mainly because Gravana had to rely on companies like Recaro, Goodyear, Motegi, Boston Acoustics, H&R and the likes of them for marketing partnerships. But, the results were not too promising and now General Motors is apparently looking for a better partner to market the Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged models. And, above all GM wants to concentrate on HHR release, so they’ve dropped the Cobalt SS-S altogether.
As of now, GM has cancelled the Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged and not much is known about its release; but one thing is for sure that the new Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged is going to be something special!
